Inverter: The more appliances you want to power at once, the bigger its kVa strength capacity needs to be to keep your devices running smoothly.
Solar panels:
The more power you use the more panels you need to supplement your electricity usage. Each panel generates 84 units or R 250 worth of electricity per month. Eg. If you use R 2000 of electricity per month you need 8 panels to be semi independent from the grid.
Batteries:
Sized according to 4 hour load shedding cycle or your nighttime consumption.
For every three solar panels we recommend a 5 kWh Lithium battery with 4 kWh usable capacity.
